Faith Kunihira
Faith was one of the few in rural Uganda who had broken the cycle of poverty. She moved to the city and was living the good life, but after a visit back to the village where she grew up, her heart was broken for her people. In 2000, she quit her job and left everything to start Bringing Hope to the Family where she is now the Executive Director.
Since then BHTTF has had over 2,000 orphans and other vulnerable children registered with their organization. They started with a focused emphasis on orphan care, but over the years have expanded their operations to include many other community development projects. In addition to their orphan program, they now run a medical clinic, preschool, primary school, and vocational school along with agricultural sustainability training and general health education.
Andrew Musiinguzi
Andrew came to Bringing Hope to the Family five years ago after the death of his mother. He was and still is rejected by his real father and step mother who did not allow him to settle in their home. Earlier on, his mother gave him to another man who, later in his years, also chased him away. Since Andrew was not accepted anywhere and didn't have a place to live, he came to Bringing Hope's orphanage. Andrew was then in S2 (seventh grade), and now he is finishing his first year at the university pursuing a Bachelors in Education.
